Italian Napoli has been handed the chance to step up from the EWC’s Superstock category to Formula EWC with the Yamaha-powered German team.
He switches from Énergie Endurance for whom he’d ridden since the 2018-19 season and counted on during his 2022 EWC campaign using its mainly green Kawasaki.
Posting on Facebook, the 35-year-old wrote: “Happy to announce I will participate in the full season of EWC in the Formula EWC category [with my new team Motobox Kremer Racing]. A historic team present in endurance for 23 years, I will ride again a Yamaha R1, a motorcycle that brings me only good memories. I hope this long winter passes quickly and thank you so much team managers Georg Haas and Manfred Kremer for trusting me.”
An EWC stalwart entrant of 23 years, Motobox Kremer Racing placed P14 in last season’s championship standings with its orange-painted Yamaha. It is set to announce details of its remaining rider liner-up in the coming months.
